Background: our first CD came out in 1994 on These Records, followed by a wide range of gigs and releases with underground cult bands like Add N To X and Negativland. We were on the Peel playlist for a while, and had an almost commercial release with Doubleclick Countryside on Lo Recordings in 2004. We featured on David Toop's Virgin compilation Ocean of Sound: Booming On Pluto, which seemed to suggest we had a place in the history of electro, but in fact we were one of the first lo-fi & junk-shop exotica bands. In fact, we were probably the first. Take it or leave it, we felt like pioneers at the time. |
